Identified a gap in how students across AIE's South African branches were sharing resources and connecting. Designed and built a WhatsApp community from the ground up — conducting direct outreach to understand needs before a single group was created.

Conducted needs assessments by engaging students from different branches to define community structure before launch — ensuring the architecture was built around real requirements, not assumptions
Architected a multi-group community system organized by discipline and lecturer, covering fields including IT, Engineering, Design & Art, Mechanical, and more — eliminating information silos across branches
Recruited, vetted and appointed field-specific group admins to maintain quality, relevance, and accountability within each channel
Scaled the community to 300+ active members across South African branches, maintaining consistently high engagement through structured communication and moderation
Established and maintained a direct line of communication with higher administration, keeping institutional leadership informed and ensuring alignment between student needs and organizational decisions
Managed ongoing community operations — resolving conflicts, enforcing community standards, and continuously refining the structure as the network grew
